



Mindfulness for Secondary Schools
In support of the curricula SPHE and wellness programmes, Tipperary Mindfulness offers "Mindfulness for Schools" courses, workshops and retreats. Mindfulness gives us self-management tools to apply to our daily lives that have proven benefits. These school courses blend mindfulness with positive psychology and neuroscience research
To equip students with mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and build resilience promoting improved well-being, academic focus and achievement by teaching why, when and how to use and apply it and, also the benefits of using it.
These courses support all wellness strand of the SPHE curricula through the following:
- Fostering well-being, self-confidence, self-care & self-esteem.
- Promotes self-awareness & emotional self-regulation.
- Understanding and explaining feelings & emotions.
- Enhancing mental & emotional health.
- Increased resilience, empathy & ability to cope with change.
- Managing stress and exam pressures.
- Opportunities for reflection and discussion.
- Improved self-awareness & relationships.
- Improving attention, concentration, focus and executive function (and in turn exam results).
Included in the school courses is a complimentary teacher lunch-time meditation 🙂
